'Batman vs Superman' trailer release date rumors point to May or July

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" isn't scheduled to hit theaters until March 25, 2016, but rumors and leaked information continue to pop up. Last month, an alleged leaked trailer for the film was reportedly posted on the Reddit page for 4chan.org.

A supposed source called Comic Central City, as cited by KDramaStars, allegedly saw the trailer and it states:

"For those who didn't see the BvS trailer on /tv/ last night; YOU MISSED A LOT. The new BvS trailer was a rehash of the last one with Batman narrating the entire time however the new one had some snippets of Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg. Only Aquaman was in costume though, Ezra Miller and Cyborg are just wearing civilian clothes."

TechTimes found no evidence of the trailer and search engines don't pull up any results. It has since been speculated that the trailer was never leaked at all. If, on the other hand, it was ever online, Warner Bros. made sure that no traces of it would be left behind after pulling it down.

Back in December, MoviePilot reported on an earlier leaked trailer. It opens with Ben Affleck's Batman giving a monologue over scenes from 2013's "Man of Steel." His monologue states that the world has changed since the appearance of the Kryptonians, and then ponders if Superman would save the world or end up destroying it. It then reportedly shifted to clips of Aquaman, Cyborg, and Flash.

Warner Bros. has neither confirmed nor denied if the trailer was really leaked.

It was previously speculated that the trailer would be attached to the theatrical release of "Jupiter Ascending" but this proved to be false. According to KDramaStars, it is likely to appear with the release of "Mad Max: Fury Road" on May 15.

With Marvel pulling out of the San Diego Comic-Con, there is also a possibility that the real "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice " trailer would be shown during the July convention.
