The upcoming expansion for the first person shooter video game "Battlefied 1" is set to arrive in December and January. Publisher Electronic Arts has revealed some new details about the expansion, which is called "Turning Tides."

"Turning Tides" is the third expansion to be released for the World War I shooter. When the expansion arrives, players will gain access to new maps, vehicles, and other content.

Based on the tagline of the expansion, players will be able to "conquer land, air, and sea in the amphibious battles of the Great War." In line with this theme, players will get new maps that feature aquatic features.

The first map is called Cape Helles, a beach location on the Gallipoli peninsula in Turkey. On this map, British forces will be fighting the defenses of the Ottoman Empire.

The next map is Achi Baba, an infantry focused map that will see British soldiers fight their way through the Gallipoli peninsula against a fortified Ottoman hilltop.

In January the new British Royal Marines will be released as a playable faction, while a third map, Heligoland Bight, will be available to players. On the German islands map, the British Marines will be pitted against the German navy. Both sides will use their battleships and airplanes, while land troops battle on the islands.

Finally, players will be able to play the Zeebrugge map, which focuses on close-quarters combat on port of Bruges-Zeebrugge in Belgium.

Aside from the maps, the new expansion will also include new vehicles like airships, and destroyers, as well as new weapons like the M1917 Trench Carbine, Type 38 Arisaka, the Maschinenpistole M1912, the Carcano M91 Carbine, and the Farquhar-Hill.

There will also be a brand new elite class called The Infiltrator. This class boasts abilities like artillery strikes, a mobile spawn point, and sprint boost.

There is a lot of new addition in the upcoming expansion. Holders of the Season pass and the "Battlefield 1 Revolution" will be able to access these new content two weeks before they get released to everyone else.
