One of 2016's best first-person shooter (FPS) games, "Battlefield 1," is getting a downloadable content (DLC) soon. A lot of new details have been revealed by developers, EA, including new weapons, new maps, and even an all-new game mode called "Air Assault."

This fourth expansion of the game was first announced via their official blog. "WITH NO END IN SIGHT, ENTER A LIVING HELL AND PARTICIPATE IN THE MOST BRUTAL BATTLES OF CATACLYSMIC GREAT WAR," reads the blog post. "COMING FOR BATTLEFIELD 1 PREMIUM PASS OWNERS IN FEBRUARY."

While it already states a release window, as mentions, it is only for Premium Pass owners. However, this also gives a rough estimate for its release for regular players as it should come out sometime after February. To keep the excitement up, the blog also lists many of the features players can expect.

One of the biggest additions is the Air Assault game mode. While there has not been any footage of it yet, there at least is a short description of it. "Air Assault takes to the sies, where planes collide in a fury of dogfights that could include a climactic face-off with Airships," reads the blog.

Also mentioned on the website are five new maps: Passchendaele, Caporetto, River Somme, Razor's Edge, and London Calling. According to the description, these are supposedly based on famous historical battle fields.

In addition, there will be several new items and features including the following: melee weapons, six guns, gadgets, assignments, an "Afflictions" specialization, an aircraft, and unlocks.

Fans can read more about the Apocalypse expansion and wait for updates on their blog. They can opt to avail of the premium pass as well since it will allow access to all four DLCs for 'Battlefield 1.' It currently costs £39.99 or roughly $55.42 for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4.
