There will be more "Battlefield 1" to enjoy with the upcoming Turning Tides expansion.

Developer EA DICE has released some tidbits on the Turning Tides expansion, the third downloadable content (DLC) to be released for the World War 1 shooter video game. It will come between this December and January 2018. Having an incremental launch of DLCs allows a steady download of maps, vehicles and other content that will come in the course of two months.

In Turning Tides, players will be able to conquer land, air and sea in the battles of the Great War. The initial installment of the DLC will bring two new maps to the battle.

The first map is Cape Helles. Focusing on its beaches, it will have the British forces going up against the might of the Ottoman Empire on the Gallipoli peninsula.

The second map will be Achi Baba. It also highlights the Gallipoli peninsula but in this case, the map will use the soldiers on the ground as its point of view as it attacks the base of the Ottoman at the top of a hill.

The next DLC installment will drop in January 2018. It will include the Heligoland Bight map which focuses on the battle between the British Royal Marines and the German Navy as they meet head-on in land, air and sea using the Rocky Cove as background.

Players will be able to control the battleships and airplanes as they fight across the water while ordering ground forces to take out the enemy forces on the cliffs nearby.

The video game has been praised citing its fresh settings and unique appeal. "Battlefield 1" became the best-selling video game in the United Kingdom in the week of its release. While in the United States, it was the top-selling game in the month of its release.

"Battlefield 1" is available for video game consoles PlayStation 4, Xbox One and a PC version for Windows 10.
