'Battlefield Hardline' download available for preload on PC now

For those who are itching to play "Battlefield Hardline" the second it goes live can already preload the game on their PC. Electronic Arts announced that those who are using Origin to download and install will be able to play "Hardline" as soon as it is released. 

For the preloading process, gamers must click on the My Games tab in Origin, and then click on the "Battlefield Hardline" game tile in the Origin Games library. This will make the title automatically install once it has finished downloading. However, players are cautioned to check the system requirements first. 

In preloading "Battlefield Hardline," the PC must have at least a Windows Vista SP2 64-bit operating system, an Intel Core i3 2.4 GHz or Athlon II/Phenom II 2.8 GHz processor, at least 4 GB of RAM, a space of 60 GB on the hard drive, ATI Radeon with 1 GB or GeForce GTX 260 for graphics, and DirectX 11. 

The recommended requirements, meanwhile, are a Windows 8 64-bit operating system, an Intel quad-core or AMD Six-Core CPU, 8 GB of RAM, a notable graphics card with at least 3 GB memory, 60 GB of hard drive space, and DirectX 11. 

EA also announced that "Battlefield Hardline" will have a premium account, an exclusive membership program that will have new content and early access for hardcore "Battlefield" fans. Membership of $50 will net gamers four additional features like Masks, Gun Bench, Competitive Play, and Legendary Status. Premium membership also includes four digital expansion packs with new multiplayer options, maps, modes, new vehicles, and other in-game content. Premium players will also have priority position and will be first in line for server queues, access to exclusive events, new customization options, and 12 Gold Battlepacks. 

"Battlefield Hardline" officially launches today, March 17, on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, PS3 and PS4, and Windows PC.
