"Battlefield Hardline" has a DLC coming and it's called "Criminal Activity." Visceral Games has been dropping hints about the expansion pack, trickling morsels of information about what is in it, but it was only recently that the game studio revealed all about the new guns, gears, maps, and a mode called Bounty Hunter included in the pack as well as the story enveloping it.

Gamers are asked to help the police stop "well-trained, aggressive criminals," possibly behind a "secret crime ring," threatening the city. The DLC has everything players need to get the job done, including:

  • Four fast-paced new maps – Backwoods, Code Blue, The Beat and Black Friday
  • Two new rides
  • Two new ammunition types for specific weapons
  • A new gadget
  • Three new weapons
  • A nailgun battlepickup
  • New Bounty Hunter game mode
  • Six new masks: two animal masks, and four new police headgear options

Unfortunately, Visceral Games did not go into detail about some of the weaponry and it did not say much about the Bounty Hunter mode. The game studio, however, did show, via a screenshot, how scary the new masks are. There's a rabbit one and there are gorilla masks, too, which can all be used to conceal identity in a very creepy way while trouble-making.

As for the new vehicles included in the DLC, there is no solid detail about what they are, but game producer Zach Mumbach revealed that there won't be an airplane, basically because players won't need one in the missions set in close-quarters.

The "Criminal Activity" DLC for "Battlefield Hardline" will be available for early access next month. "Battlefield" Premium members will be able to play it before others can. Meanwhile, Visceral Games has yet to announced the actual date of release, but it won't be long before it does, so avid gamers should be on the lookout.
