'Battlefield Hardline' news: Blackout DLC set to arrive

"Battlefield Hardline" is set to receive a new downloadable content (DLC) pack.

The new DLC pack, known as Blackout, promises to bring an array of new content to the game that is a bit different than what players may be used to.

The reason for that is simple, and that's because the new Blackout DLC coming to "Battlefield Hardline" has been created with the theme of "cloak of darkness" in mind, according to the game's official website.

What that means is that the new content coming to "Battlefield Hardline" has been built around the theme of night time combat and provides players with different settings, items, and other gameplay elements that should enable them to experience the best of nocturnal warfare.

Included in the new "Blackout" DLC pack are two new maps named Night Job and Night Woods. Although these are two new maps, they will not be entirely unfamiliar to players, as Night Job is basically the nocturnal rendition of Bank Job, while Night Woods is in essence the Backwoods map set in the shadows of the dark. Players would still be better off to expect some new elements from these maps as they try them out.

Also coming via the "Blackout" DLC pack are two new weapons. The first weapon is a revamped version of the R0933, and players will also be given access to a new Battle Rifle in the game.

Since, the new DLC pack mainly consists of night time elements, it only makes sense for players to receive a new pair of night vision goggles to help them navigate the shadowy crevices of their dark surroundings.

Unfortunately, there is still no official release date for "Blackout," according to Gamespot.

The good news is that when it does come out, "Blackout" will be provided completely free to "Battlefield Hardline" players.
