After a little bit of a delay, publisher Electronic Arts has just announced the third DLC for its "Battlefield: Hardline" title, set for release next month.

In an official announcement on the "Battlefield" website, the publisher stated that the third DLC, Getaway, will be available for Premium members come January 2016. The new expansion comes with a number of new items, including a new game mode, Capture the Bag.

There will also be at least four new vehicles, a new gadget plus an additional melee weapon (a fire axe, according to GameSpot), and four new Legendary Camos. The new update will also add three new weapons for the Mechanic Class.

Meanwhile, the Getaway DLC will not only expand in-game items but also locations in which players can battle each other's teams. When Getaway rolls out, it will expand "Battlefield: Hardline" with four new massive maps – Pacific Highway, Double Cross, Train Dodge, and Diversion.

The third expansion for "Battlefield: Hardline," the DLC was originally slated for a fall 2015 release. However, Electronic Arts decided to push back the release date. According to Digital Trends, the publisher might have juggled the rollout dates a little bit since the third DLC is race-themed and the original release date will fall on a date close to that of another EA racing title, the rebooted "Need for Speed."

Aside from the third DLC to be made available for Premium members, all players of "Battlefield: Hardline" is set to receive a free update sometime soon, with the patch having "a game update that includes new weapons and patches, as well as new features we'll talk about soon," according to the announcement.

Electronic Arts did not mention a specific release date for Getaway, but observers expect the January release window to be the final one. "Battlefield: Hardline" is set to receive four expansion packs for this season, with the fourth one, Betrayal, still to come.
