'Battlefield Hardline': Release date for 'Robbery' DLC out

Battlefield Battlelog

About a month ago, developer Visceral Games teased fans of "Battlefield Hardline" about the upcoming "Robbery" DLC, laying out some juicy details on how the upcoming expansion will greatly widen the "Battlefield Hardline" title. However, the developer chose to leave out the exact details on when players will be able to expect the DLC to roll out.

Now, Visceral Games has announced the release date for "Robbery," and it will roll out much sooner than fans have anticipated.

According to an announcement by publisher Electronic Arts, the "Robbery" DLC for "Battlefield Hardline" will be launched this week, on Sept. 16. However, EA clarified that the release date is only for "Battlefield Hardline" premium members as part of the early access feature for Premium users. The upcoming DLC will be launched much later for other "Battlefield Hardline" players, which is scheduled at the end of the month, Sept. 30.

The upcoming DLC will add four new maps for "Battlefield Hardline" players to choose from: Break Pointe, Museum, Precinct 7, and The Docks. In addition, there will also be four new weapons, two new gadgets, a pair of new factional vehicles, as well as new items like camos and vehicle paints.

Meanwhile, the gameplay of "Battlefield Hardline" will also be expanded with the addition of the Legendary Super Feature, as well as the Squad Heist, a new 5v5, team vs. team game mode. The new mode will be something like the old Squad Rush game mode, but instead of completing the mission by blowing up objectives, the team will have to rob an establishment and escape with the loot.

"Robbery" is the second DLC to hit "Battlefield Hardline," with two more expected to follow. "Getaway" is expected to be released in fall, while the last one, "Betrayal," will roll out early next year.
