'Battlefield Hardline' 'Criminal Activity' DLC: PS4 Ultimate Edition experiencing issues

"Battlefield Hardline" players were ecstatic with the release of the first and newest expansion for the title, "Criminal Activity." However, it seems that some gamers are experiencing issues and are unable to play the DLC.

The Ultimate Edition is the most expensive of all "Battlefield Hardline" versions, coming in at $199.99. The package includes the "Battlefield Hardline" Premium copy with two weeks' worth of exclusive access to all four of the game's expansion packs, together with 25 Battlepacks, bundles of boosts, and in-game reward items.

However, on the official Battlelog forum, problems were reported as early as June 20, with some owners of the PlayStation 4 version of "Battlefield Hardline" Ultimate Edition saying that they are unable to access the "Criminal Activity" DLC, which was launched last week for "Battlefield Hardline" premium members. The Ultimate Edition owners, as part of the premium versions, are supposed to have early access to the expansion DLC but most players say that the downloads are not being registered as valid purchases, and the issue seems to be plaguing digital versions.

According to one user, although the content can be downloaded, it doesn't register as a valid purchase.

"Ok. it's not downloading it that is the problem, that works fine but once installed it doesn't register as a valid purchased DLC," said one post. "When told to do so it says 'no content' under 'My Downloads'."

Developer Visceral Games is quick to respond to the queries, although there are still no official word on when the issue can be addressed. Multiplayer producer Zach Mumbach assured players that Visceral Games is currently investigating the problems.

"First off, I apologize. This sucks," he said. "Right now we are looking at all the digital versions on PS4 to make sure everyone can download. Best update I can give your right now."
