"Be a Happy Man" TV Program First Shown on Screen

"Be happy but not depressed; do pray but not tremble;
Give thanks but not angry; joyfully we rebuild our city."

HONG KONG--- This is the theme of the Gospel TV Program "Be a Happy Man" produced by CBN China. Under the gloom of SARS and Bird Flu in Hong Kong, most people were choked to dying by heavy mental stress. The Director of CBN China Lawyer Chan Sai Keung expressed his hope for Hong Kong people, "Be happy but not depressed; do pray but not tremble; Give thanks but not angry; joyfully we rebuild our city." Mr. Chan will also be the president of this TV program.

"Be a Happy Man" will be first showed on ATV Hong Kong starting from 21 February at 3: 30 pm and in the coming weeks, the time is moved to every Sunday afternoon.

"Be a Happy Man" is expected to last for a year. A total number of 52 testimonies from Christians in different sectors will be acted on the screen. They share about their real life experience, proclaiming the only way directed to the joy of life is Jesus Christ our Lord.

The opening ceremony of the TV program was held at Wanchai Hopewell Center, Hong Kong on 17 February. Many recognized professionals have invited to the guest for the ceremony, including the Secretary of Constitutional Affairs, Mr. Stephen S. K. Lam, Ex-President of Hong Kong Junior Chamber, Mr. Young Wing Ki, JP. Chan Liu Fong and Director of CBN China, Mr. Chan Sai Keung, etc.

On this occasion, Secretary of Constitutional Affairs, Mr. Stephen S. K. Lam shared his optimistic attitude in facing hardships, instead of worrying for today; one should take action to change the current situation. As a Christian, Mr. Lam was very happy to hear about the TV program, and he always keeps alert as the bible said, "In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps."

The organizing committee has also composed a theme song with a lively melody. "Nothing in life is impossible, only when we work hard without trembling, the life becomes so happy." The song teaches people a lesson. Men in suit whistled the song and danced during the occasion.
