"Beauty & the Beast" season 3 will mark a change for the series because now Cat and Vincent's relationship is out in the open. The couple will be living as a couple but that doesn't mean the showrunners don't have any obstacles planned for them. According to a report from Enstarz, they will need to deal with a lot of pressure from the outside world, not to mention a new beast.

The report states that there have been no confirmed details regarding the new persona so it is possible that an older character from the previous two seasons might be a new beast, or The CW network might have hired a new actor to portray an entirely new character.

In an interview with TV Guide, actress Kristin Kreuk stated that this beast will greatly affect her character Cat's relationship with Vincent, especially because she is now being associated with the Department of Homeland Security.

"They're trying to enroll her, in this ... looks like a beast-like threat, but she doesn't believe them until she does," Kreuk explained.

She also explained that Cat tries to bring Vincent along to help her and the department catch this new beast but he "doesn't want anything to do with it."

According to Kruek, the two characters will have some back and forth about them having a greater purpose than just living their own personal lives and pretending that there's nothing wrong in the world, an opinion that Vincent will emphasize strongly in the upcoming season.

Season 3 will also see Heather Chandler, played by Nicole Gale Anderson, upgraded to a series regular, and the IMDB listing also accounts for two of Cat's aunts making their appearance in the season as well. The official synopsis of the season states that the next run will focus on family and the relationship Cat has with Vincent and the people close to her.

."Beauty & the Beast" season 3 will premiere on June 11.
