BenQ F52: Smartphone with decent specs to launch at Mobile World Congress

BenQ is a brand one could easily associate with computers so hearing about a smartphone launch should come as a surprise. Nevertheless, BenQ is set to unveil its flagship phone, the BenQ F52, at the 2015 Mobile World Congress.

The BenQ F52 will be among the many smartphones that will be on hand during the event and people can catch a glimpse of it at the booth of Chinese mobile carrier, Cheetah Mobile.

While brands like Samsung and LG (among others) are bound to draw much of the attention, the F52 should have its share of interested onlookers. Besides, the phone does come with decent specs that mobile phone users may find handy.

Among the specs that the BenQ F52 will carry include a 5.2-inch full HD (1920x1080) display and a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It will also come equipped with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through the use of the microSD card slot.

The phone will also come with an 8MP front-facing camera while a 13MP rear camera will also be present. The back camera will boast of a Sony IMX21 sensor which should provide potential owners a decent way to capture pictures using the phone.

The phone will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop and will come with the usual 4G LTE connectivity. For apps, the phone will be preloaded with Cheetah Mobile apps.

Nothing has been revealed just yet on the battery and how long it could last for both standby and talk-time use. Pricing and availability as been kept under wraps for now although from the looks of it, the phone will only be made available in China - at least in the early stages once released.
