Several holidays are approaching, with Thanksgiving and the Black Friday shopping spree coming next week, and both Christmas and New Year's arriving in a month. This would make it the perfect time to buy new gifts for gamers, but these aren't just limited to brand new consoles like the Xbox One and PS4.

As noted by Polygon, there is the new NES Classic Edition. This is a remodeled NES based on the original console that launched back in 1985. This mini version does not use NES cartridges as it already has 30 games installed, and the system is built to be compatible with HDMI televisions.

With the popularity of the mobile game "Pokémon GO, " the report also points out that the Pokemon Go Plus is another great gift for gamers. This accessory automatically connects to a gamer's phone and to the app, allowing players to capture Pokémon without having to look at their phones. However, both of these are difficult to acquire. It has been previously reported that the NES Classic Edition is supposed to cost $60 in retail stores like Game Stop or on online on sites like Amazon. However, they have run out of stock, and the console is now being re-sold for over $200.

There are a few new consoles available for purchase, such as the Nintendo New 3DS XL that comes packaged "Pokémon Sun and Moon," the two new "Pokémon" games that just launched. There is also the PlayStation 4 Pro, a more powerful version of the PS4 which is designed to work with 4K displays.

IGN reports that some of the best accessories include the HyperX Cloud Stinger Gaming Headset. This headset costs approximately $50 and is compatible with PCs, the PS, and the Xbox One. There is also the Xbox One Play and Charge kit which wires the controller to the Xbox One. This lets players use it as it charges.
