Despite its obvious absence in AMC's  roster of TV shows for fall 2015, "Better Call Saul" will still get a second season.

The cable network already green-lighted the production of season 2 of the critically successful spin-off of their cult-favorite "Breaking Bad" series, which features Saul Goodman's (Bob Odenkirk) early beginnings as a struggling lawyer in Albuquerque, New Mexico, using his real name Jimmy McGill.

"Better Call Saul's" first season received high praises from critics and viewers alike. Odenkirk was nominated for the Best Actor in a Drama Series category of the 5th Critics' Choice Television Awards. The same award-giving body also recognized actor Jonathan Banks for his role as Mike Ehrmantraut by nominating him in the Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category. The show also set the record for being the highest-rated scripted series in the history of basic cable broadcasting, with an average of 6.9 million viewers overall.

However, series creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have yet to divulge the official release details for "Better Call Saul" season 2.

Earlier reports claim that more "Breaking Bad" stars will appear in the series spin-off. In his past Reddit AMA session, Gilligan discussed the possibility of the speculations.

"Anybody and everybody. The sky's the limit! That's the beauty of this format. The story takes place six years in the past, where all the Breaking Bad characters are alive and well, but that's not to promise that you'll see every character that we introduced in Breaking Bad," the series creator said.

Gilligan also teased that more Nacho (Michael Mando) appearances will happen when "Better Call Saul" returns next season.

On the other hand, according to Venture Capital Post, there are several speculations saying that Jimmy's brother Chuck McGill will die in season 2 after actor Michael McKean allegedly asked Gould an intrusive question and called him a "b***ch." There is no confirmation yet about the alleged report.

"Better Call Saul" season 2 is expected to air in 2016.
