The 10-episode maiden season of "Better Call Saul" is almost coming to an end, which means that the final episode of "Breaking Bad's" spinoff series will have to tie up all the loose ends of its successful first season. It may even open up new roads for the characters to explore when the show returns for season 2.

The official synopsis for the season 1 finale of "Better Call Saul" reads: "Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) seizes an opportunity to reconnect with an old friend."

Who among the struggling lawyer's friends would appear to meet him in the last episode? The season finale will reportedly feature one of the most cunning cartel killers in the original AMC series. According to the International Business Times, "Breaking Bad's" Marco Salamanca (Luis Moncada) will be introduced. The episode, after all, is titled "Marco." Also, the character's cousin Tuco (Raymond Cruz) was already featured in the first two episodes of the season, which is why it is not surprising to see him as well.

Will Marco show his slaying prowess several years prior to his stint in the "Breaking Bad"?

"Better Call Saul" managed to surpass expectations by keeping viewers glued to their TV sets each week. This secured the show's future as the network decided to renew the series for a 13-episode season 2. According to series creators Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan, the story of the show turned out to be a surprise, even for them.

"I will say what happens in the rest of the show surprised us," Gould shared to HitFix. "These characters went in directions we weren't expecting. The cast added such layers to these folks. This is the glory of television. We watched what the actors were doing as we shot the first few, and realized that some of our ideas of who these people were could be developed more."

The final episode of "Better Call Saul" season 1 will air on April 6.
