"Better Call Saul" season 2 has officially begun and it appears that more surprises may be coming as actor Aaron Paul, who played Jesse Pinkman in "Breaking Bad," reveals in a recent Q&A on Reddit that he may be making a cameo appearance on the show sooner than previously believed.

Hints of his appearance in the prequel series was first released during an interview with US News, in which the actor explained he would give his full support for anything involving Vince Gilligan, creator of "Breaking Bad" and its prequel series "Better Call Saul."

Paul also stated that it would be exciting to reprise the role of Pinkman given that this version would be different from the one fans have grown familiar with in "Breaking Bad" since this would be Pinkman in his early days as a small-town meth dealer known as Captain Cook. 

"Yeah of course!" the actor replied when asked if he would be making an appearance on "Better Call Saul." "So, who knows? Maybe I already shot it? It might be airing this season? I don't know. Well, actually, I do know, but you'll have to watch and see. But yeah, I'd absolutely be opened to it and we have discussed the possibility."

According to a report from Cinema Blend, this may indicate that the character Jesse Pinkman may indeed be making a quick appearance in the series before season 2 is over.

However, it is undetermined if this cameo appearance takes place in the current timeline of "Better Call Saul," which is a decade prior to the events of "Breaking Bad," or if Pinkman's arrival is dated after the "Breaking Bad" finale where he approaches Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) for help, prompting a flashback sequence to continue the story.

"Better Call Saul" season 2 will continue, with Paul reprising his role as Pinkman or not, this Feb. 29 with episode 3, "Amarillo."
