"Breaking Bad" spin-off series "Better Call Saul" is back with an all-new season. Returning this season is Giancarlo Esposito, who will portray the restaurateur and rising drug kingpin, Gus Fring.

In season 3 of "Better Call Saul," viewers will come to understand how Fring rose into position and became the notorious villain that he is in "Breaking Bad."

Creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould are just as excited about this narco-trafficker's return. "Having the opportunity to bring the character of Gus back and work with Giancarlo again was too delicious to pass up when it was right for the show," Gould told Entertainment Weekly.

The creators revealed that Esposito was initially apprehensive to take on the role. Prior to him reprising the role, the characters had to convince the actor that the part he is going to play in the spin-off series will not ruin the work he has made in "Breaking Bad." Rest assured, "Better Call Saul" will bring justice to this big bad.

Although "Better Call Saul" is set before the events in "Breaking Bad," according to Gilligan, fans will be able to recognize Fring's character, as he is expected to exude characteristics seen in the original series.

"I'm not saying he's exactly the same guy — he's at a different point in his career, it's an earlier stage — but I think it occurred to us we didn't want to see him too early in the fumbling beginnings of his career because he's just so cool," Gilligan told Entertainment Weekly.

Like in "Breaking Bad," Esposito's character in "Better Call Saul" will still exude mystery.

Moreover, reports reveal that this "Breaking Bad" villain will not be the only one to return this season. The creators previously shared that the bad guys will flock in season 3 of "Better Call Saul."

The third season of "Better Call Saul" airs Mondays 10 p.m. EDT on AMC.
