It looks like the version of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) more familiar to fans of "Breaking Bad" will finally taking the spotlight in "Better Call Saul" season 3.

Speaking to The Wrap, Odenkirk teased that Jimmy will start to stray from his previous self and will take on a new persona he believes will get him through life effectively than Saul will ever do.

"This season is gonna be about how innocence gets torn away. We learn that Saul is just who he's pretending to be to get back at the world," Odenkirk said.

"Season 3 is when things will really explode," he went on to say, with the actor pointing out how Jimmy is "vastly more innocent" than Saul is.

He also noted that "Better Call Saul" season 3 will still see his character stuck in the blurred lines of good and bad. "I don't think he can tell the difference between his angels and his devils," Odenkirk said.

"He thinks he's doing the right thing when he's absolutely doing the wrong thing," he continued. Of course, it won't take long before Jimmy learns not to care.

The fact that Gus Fring from "Breaking Bad" will be involved in "Better Call Saul" season 3 hints that Jimmy is close to his transformation as Saul Goodman.

It will be interesting to see how the drug kingpin and restaurateur plays his part in Jimmy's journey to darkness and crookedness.

As for the actual appearance of Gus Fring in "Better Call Saul" season 3, it is believed that this might be saved for the finale of the season.

He is expected to be alluded to or referenced, but knowing Gus Fring, who would not allow someone to meet him in person unless that person went to hell and back, his major entrance on the show will happen at a later time.

Filming for "Better Call Saul" season 3 will start by the end of this month. The cast and crew will head back to Albuquerque where the first two seasons were filmed.
