"Better Call Saul" season 3 will see the tension between Chuck (Michael McKean) and Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) rise to a whole new level, according to executive producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould.

By the end of the previous season, Chuck tricked his brother into admitting he fabricated the Mesa Verde documents and recorded the incriminating confession.

Gilligan and Gould revealed to IGN that this tape will, of course, play a part in "Better Call Saul" season 3 as the older McGill goes through his plans to take down his younger brother.

"I think it's safe to say that we are always looking for ways to deepen and intensify and complicate the current situation, dramatically speaking," Gilligan said of Chuck and Jimmy's relationship in "Better Call Saul" season 3.

"So yes, you can expect to see that pay dividends. I don't know if people are gonna be happy with it, but you can expect to see that," he went on to say.

The EPs also talked about how the brothers appear to have reached the point of no return in their feud and how "Better Call Saul" season 3 will worsen that.

"It was a heartstrings con," Gilligan explained of Chuck's cunning of Jimmy in the last season, adding that the former used the worst kind of deception, which is taking advantage of Jimmy's sympathy.

"And it was kind of despicable on Chuck's part. But on the other hand, what Jimmy did to prompt it was a despicable act on Jimmy's part. Jimmy really stuck it to his brother," he continued.

This shows that "these guys can't just love each other" and that everything has become so toxic that they have no trouble "sticking it" to each other.

That being said, "Better Call Saul" season 3 will see them at each other's throats. In fact, this could bring Jimmy closer to becoming the crafty Saul Goodman fans met in "Breaking Bad."

"Better Call Saul" season 3 is expected to premiere in February next year on AMC.
