It is already common knowledge that the presence of the infamous drug lord and restaurateur Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) will be felt in "Better Call Saul" season 3, but he was not expected to show his face.

Lead actor Bob Odenkirk, however, suggested in his recent appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that the "Breaking Bad" heavyweight will be physically present in the new season.

"I'm looking for him. He's coming back," the actor told host Jimmy Kimmel. "I imagine he'll be in the first moment. Let's go, let's do it," Odenkirk went on to say.

He emphasized that they did not think fans will scrutinize the show the way they did, leading to the discovery of Fring's return after the first letters in the titles of the season 2 episodes were revealed to spell out "Fring's back."

When the Gus Fring bombshell made it out in the open, "Better Call Saul" creator Vince Gilligan told fans not to expect the character to appear immediately.

"I don't think anyone should assume that he'll move in next door to Mike and borrow a cup of sugar," he told Vanity Fair at that time. "He's going to stay Gus Fring, arguably the most brilliant person ever to appear on either show," he went on to say.

Meanwhile, Odenkirk said that he has no idea yet on what will happen in "Better Call Saul" season 3 and he chooses not to as part of his methods to efficiently get into character.

Odenkirk did reveal that they will go back to work in three weeks to film the episodes for the new season. Production will once again be in Albuquerque.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 will see Jimmy McGill (Odenkirk) and even his girlfriend Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) blur the lines between good and bad. In the upcoming season, Jimmy will take more steps in becoming Saul Goodman.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 premieres next year on AMC.
