'Better Call Saul' season 3 spoilers: cameos from Hank and Marie Schrader? Bob Odenkirk teases explosive season

Will Jimmy McGill meet Walter White long before he became known as Saul Goodman in 'Better Call Saul' season 3?AMC

With fans are eagerly awaiting the return of "Breaking Bad' character Gustavo Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) in the third season of AMC's "Better Call Saul", some familiar characters may also drop in for cameos.

In an interview with Betsy Brandt (who played Marie Schrader in "Breaking Bad"), she said that she and her husband Hank (Dean Norris) could make an appearance for season 3.

"I don't think that's out of the question. You know, it's definitely been discussed and I feel like that's something that we could see. I'll do anything those guys want," Brandt shared.

While it was not a flat out confirmation, fans were quick to connect her statement to one made by Bryan Cranston about "another new character coming on the show that you will recognize." He also did not discount the possibility of appearing as a guest on the show should show creator Vince Gilligan ask him to.

"I told Vince [Gilligan], if you want me to be on the show, I'll be there in a second," he said.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that his brother Chuck's (Michael McKean) betrayal will set off Jimmy McGill's (Bob Odenkirk) transformation from the mild mannered small time lawyer into hotshot legal counsel to the underworld Saul Goodman.

In an interview with The Wrap, he provides some insight into his character.

"Jimmy is vastly more innocent than Saul. He looks at the world in a wide-eyed way [an effect enhanced by CGI around the actor's eyes in flashbacks to Jimmy at age 30], and I don't think he can tell the difference between his angels and his devils. He thinks he's doing the right thing when he's absolutely doing the wrong thing," said Odenkirk.

It has also been reported that Gus Fring will play a major role in Jimmy's transformation.

"This season is gonna be about how innocence gets torn away. We learn that Saul is just who he's pretending to be to get back at the world... Season 3 is when things will really explode," promised Odenkirk.
