'Better Call Saul' season 3 spoilers: Season tipped to crossover with 'Breaking Bad'

AMC

"Better Call Saul" continues to tell the tale of how Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) became the sleazy criminal lawyer known as Saul Goodman in "Breaking Bad." However, the series may soon stop being a prequel and may finally intersect with the events in "Breaking Bad," as teased by actress Rhea Seehorn in an interview with Deadline.

"There's a lot of leeway with where they could go. I can only presume that it's also on the table for them to do scenes that happen during 'Breaking Bad' years in some fashion," the actress stated.

Seehorn also stated that the show is a lot more flexible in terms of its timeline given how it has scenes taking place after "Breaking Bad," scenes that take place back when Jimmy was a child and the majority of the show taking place a few years prior to Jimmy working for Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).

However, if season 3 indeed starts intersecting with "Breaking Bad" it is likely that a few characters such as Jesse could appear on the show. Yibada points out that Gustavo Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) may also appear given how he and Saul had a strong business relationship before Walter came in to be Gustavo's meth cook.

The report also states that Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt) is also expected to make a cameo appearance. While it was never shown in "Breaking Bad" that Marie knew Saul, it is possible she could have hired him in the past. Marie is a known kleptomaniac and she might have secretly consulted Saul to help her clear off charges before her husband were made aware of them.

Neither Aaron Paul nor Bryan Cranston has confirmed that they might be appearing on "Better Call Saul" season 3 and the show still needs to deal with the cliffhanger ending of season 2, in which the Mesa Verde case might force Jimmy to leave his brother and become Saul Goodman.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 premieres in 2017.
