Fans of "Breaking Bad" know that Jimmy McGill's future (Bob Odenkirk) only goes one way, and that is his transformation to become the cunning and sinister Saul Goodman. "Better Call Saul" season 3 will inch fans closer to this inevitable future.

In the previous season, Jimmy is pushed over the edge as the things happening in his life prove his newfound belief that being nice gets him nowhere. His brother Chuck (Michael McKean) made it worse.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 will see him realize how easy things can become when done the shrewdly as he gets in touch with his sly self, which he always had deep down.

But another sign that Jimmy's turn is on the horizon is the arrival of Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito), the drug kingpin and restaurateur from "Breaking Bad," in "Better Call Saul" season 3.

Gus will slowly ease into the life of Jimmy, marking his journey to becoming the astute individual that fans knew and loved in the parent series.

Interestingly, it is not only Jimmy who will have a tough time distinguishing good from bad come "Better Call Saul" season 3. His girlfriend, Kim (Rhea Seehorn), will also start to see a blur in the lines between what's right and wrong.

"Good and bad is not the same as legal and illegal all the time. Unfortunately, they don't always line up that way," Seehorn told Deadline.

"All the characters are just sort of struggling with dealing with the fact that life just isn't black and white," the actress went on to say, implying that her character will share the same struggle with Jimmy in "Better Call Saul" season 3.

Kim is definitely one of the characters in the "Breaking Bad" spinoff who is yet to be fully fleshed out. Only a bit about her past is out in the open, but this could change in "Better Call Saul" season 3.

"I think in season two, there were some glimpses of a wilder side of her character that you didn't really see at first. You became aware that you don't know her past," Odenkirk told Variety.

"We start to become aware that she's a complex character, and we start to see some of her attraction to Jimmy and the ways in which we're very different," the actor went on to say.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 premieres next year on AMC.
