The distinguished American actress, Betty White, has just celebrated her 96th birthday on Jan. 17. Although the age of 96 is considered by most as a tremendous milestone, the actress decided to have a simple night out with her friends rather than a grandiose birthday bash that Hollywood personalities are usually accustomed to.

White spent her birthday dinner at an unnamed friend's house, as reported by TMZ. According to White's representative, White wanted nothing more than to spend a relaxing Wednesday with her friend, and not many people were spotted to attend the quiet birthday bash. This is a change from last year, since White was busy working on her birthday last 2017 for the sitcom "Young and Hungry."

Despite keeping her birthday plans simple, this did not stop the numerous Hollywood personalities from greeting the longtime actress on social media. Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds greeted White in the style of one of his most iconic roles, "Deadpool," by saying "Cheers to another year of 'Tinis and Weenies!" This statement, of course, refers to White's longevity secrets, which are a healthy serving of "vodkas and hotdogs."

White was born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1922, and as of today, she has been a consistent actress for an estimated 75 years -- and she is showing no signs of stopping any time soon. White is also considered to be one of the most prolific actresses and entertainment personalities to ever have existed, and has accumulated six Emmy awards and also a Grammy award. She is best known for her roles in "The Golden Years" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show."

Earlier this month, White was interviewed by Parade where she revealed that in the 1940s, she was rejected by multiple studios because they thought that she did not photograph well. Luckily, this never crushed her positive spirits, and has now lived to have the longest career compared to all other actresses.
