Bexley church leaders unite to tackle crime and alcohol abuse

Church leaders across Bexley are meeting this March to celebrate the launch of Care About the Borough of Bexley (CABB).

CABB is a new initiative created by Chair of Transform Bexley Borough, Rev Martin Seymour.

The new initiative is a partnership between the police, local council and Transform Bexley, and aims to tackle issues such as knife crime, alcohol abuse and the dangers of the internet.

CABB will hold workshops at various locations throughout the Borough between May 2010 and May 2011.

Founder and community pillar, Rev Martin Seymour said, "I have so many parents and grandparents who say to me that these dangerous topics can invade and de-stabilise families.

"We as a community need to come together to address the problems facing families today, united we will make a difference."

Premier Christian Radio is supporting the new venture as part of its existing Love London campaign, a four year project designed to bring communities together through Christ.

Love London Project Manager, Stephen Pailthorpe said, "Care About the Borough of Bexley is the perfect venture for Premier Christian Radio to lend its support to.

"Premier's Love London is all about bringing churches together to work and act in unity."
