The landlord of a rental beach house in California is selling a Bible left behind by the late singer Whitney Houston for $95,000.

According to TMZ, the Bible was found by the owner in the Newport beach home that the singer rented from 2009 to 2011.

The owner said that he found the Holy Book in a box by the trash after Houston moved out of the luxury rental home. Apart from the Bible, the landlord also found some CDs and old clothes.

Houston's agent had reportedly told the landlord that he could keep the items, but he was required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

The luxury home that Houston rented was sold in 2012. The owner said that he decided to throw away some of the items, but he kept the Bible because he thought it would be a good investment. The Bible is being sold through the Moments in Time auction house.

The Bible reportedly contained some handwritten notes from Houston, documenting some of her life events. Under marriage, she wrote down her own name and the name of her husband, Robert B. Brown, along with the date July 18, 1992. The singer also wrote down the venue for the wedding, which took place in Mendham, New Jersey, where she and her husband owned a mansion.

There is also a note listing the birthday of her daughter Bobbi Kristina, who was born on March 4, 1993. Bobbi Kristina tragically died just a few years after her mother at the age of 22.

Whitney Houston was found dead in 2012 in her bathroom at the Beverly Hilton. A photo of the bathroom was reportedly purchased by Kanye West for $85,000 as the cover of Pusha T's Daytona album.

Houston's family decried Pusha T's decision to use the photo as an album cover. "Even in Whitney's death, we see that no one is exempt from the harsh realities of the world," a spokesperson for Houston estate said, as reported by Yahoo News.

Before becoming a mainstream pop singer, Houston had spent some time singing with the Gospel choir at a church in New Jersey where her mother, Cissy Houston, was choirmaster. During her career, Houston released a few Gospel songs, including "Jesus Loves Me," which was included in the soundtrack of "The Bodyguard" and 2009's "I Look to You."

A documentary about Houston, titled "Whitney," is due to be released in theaters on July 6.
