Bible Society Welcomes New Director of Giving & Communication

The Bible Society has announced its welcome to its new Director of Giving and Communications, Peter Meadows. After working with World Vision UK as a member of the senior marketing team, Meadow joins the Bible Society to take on his new task of developing and implementing a broad-based donor relationship strategy and overseeing all campaigning, PR and marketing.

"I am delighted to take up this exciting opportunity," says Meadows. "Bible Society has been communicating the role and message of the Bible for more than 200 years and is always looking for imaginative, effective ways of developing this work at home and overseas. Spiritual poverty is just as damaging as physical poverty, so Bible Society’s work is vital. I am privileged to be a part of it."

Meadows is also a co-founder of Spring Harvest, a popular Christian festival, founder of Premier Christian Radio and co-creator of the Y course, a resource to help churches ‘reach beyond their fringe.’

"We are delighted that Peter joins us at this time, as we have such an exciting agenda ahead of us," said James Catford, Chief Executive of Bible Society. "We are working to bring the Bible to the heart of everyday life, here and overseas. Peter’s experience and commitment will be instrumental as we create new opportunities to make the Bible heard."

The Bible Society has a global alliance of over 130 Bible Societies around the world. It has been operating for over 200 years to making the Bible available to widely different cultures. The Society pioneers in creating partnerships and finding new and innovative ways to bridge the message of the Bible to everyday life.
