Biblelands appoints new overseas coordinator

BibleLands, one of the leading Christian aid agencies operating in the Middle East, has appointed Morag Gillies as overseas operations co-ordinator.

The charity said her appointment reflects its commitment to developing holistic relationships with its partners and other organisations working in the troubled region.

Ms Gillies has previously worked in international development and disaster management with Christian aid agency Tearfund.

She said, "I am excited about joining BibleLands, and welcome the challenges that will be involved as we seek to deepen our partnerships and make a real difference in the communities we support.

"The Middle East is a fascinating part of the world and I am looking forward to using the skills I gained over ten years at Tearfund, in a new situation, as BibleLands continues to grow."

Hugh Bradley, chair of trustees, said, "We are delighted to welcome Morag to BibleLands. This is an exciting time for the charity and her expertise will ensure we continue to build on the successes of the past, whilst also embracing the future."
