"The Big Bang Theory" season 8 saw a double cliffhanger ending when Amy broke up with Sheldon right as he was about to propose to her, while Leonard and Penny's impulse wedding at Vegas might see a delay because Leonard suddenly professed he kissed a girl a few years back. 

However, according to a report from the Latin Post, it appears that they aren't the only ones going to hit rocky waters in season 9. The report explains that Raj and Emily are going to go through some tough times as well and small hints of this were shown in the season 8 finale. 

In the last season, Raj expressed his distaste for Emily's love for gore and morbidity — she even asked him to go on a picnic and makeout at night in a cemetery. However, instead of admitting his disapproval, he only managed to tell her he loved her.  

Raj was already a little bit of an oddball in the show. He and Howard have been poked at for having a seemingly homosexual relationship that only toned down when the latter got married. Raj himself has admitted being metrosexual and in previous seasons, he also had difficulties speaking with women until he broke up with Lucy. 

Bernadette and Howard are also expected to see some issues. During the previous season, Howard's mother passed away — caused by the untimely passing of actress Carol Ann Susi — and he also had to meet his half-brother. According to the report, he'll also have to deal with living in his mother's house once again. 

"This is tough," explained showrunner Steve Molaro. "This is a house that he grew up in with his mom — who he was very attached to — and that he and Bernadette are trying to make this 'their' home when it feels like his mom's home is an interesting thing. That's one thing that they'll probably be trying to deal with." 

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 is set to premiere this fall.
