After reports claimed that "The Big Bang Theory" may bid farewell after season 10, actor Kunal Nayyar has shed light on the possibility of seeing a big-screen adaptation of the long-running TV sitcom.

The actor, who portrays the role of Raj Koothrappali in the series, talked about a possible "The Big Bang Theory" movie when he attended the MCM Comic Con in London on Sunday.

According to the actor, "It is a very difficult format to do for a movie because we shoot in front of a live studio audience with four cameras. So unless the movie was a two-and-half-hour sitcom version of 'The Big Bang Theory,' I don't think we could ever actually do a movie," Nayyar said in the press panel as reported by Inquisitr. "We could do it on stage. I tell you what, we'll come here and we'll recreate the movie of 'The Big Bang Theory' for you guys next year."

Nayyar also revealed that he remains in the dark regarding the possibility of expanding the series beyond season 10.

"If it were up to me, personally, I would love to do the show as long as you guys would have us on the air," the actor said.

Talks about the possible series finale of "The Big Bang Theory" stemmed from the statement of showrunner Steve Molaro in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in December 2017.

"The reality is that maybe season 10 is the ending point. The real answer is I don't know and all I can do right now is go episode to episode and try to make each one the best that we can," the showrunner revealed.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 is expected to return on CBS later this year.
