Jerry O'Connell has been tapped to make a cameo appearance in the season 11 finale of The Big Bang Theory.

He's been cast as Sheldon's older brother Georgie, the younger version of whom is played by Montana Jordan in Young Sheldon.

The cameo ties in with the wedding of Sheldon and Amy that will be the focus of the season ender. News of his appearance was confirmed by the show's cast and crew during a panel at PaleyFest that was joined by Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, and Kunal Nayyar as well as show producers Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, Steve Holland, and Bill Prady.

"This is the first time it is being announced, so don't tell anyone," said executive producer Holland, according to Deadline.com.

Also appearing in the wedding episode will be Laurie Metcalf as Sheldon's mother Mary, who will be walking Sheldon down the aisle.

It's not yet been confirmed whether twin sister Missy will make an appearance at the wedding, nor Meemaw.

News of O'Connell's appearance comes as rumors of the show's cancellation continue to swirl.  It's definitely back for a season 12 but beyond that, no one's really sure, even it seems the cast.

Johnny Galecki, who plays Leonard Hofstadter on the CBS sitcom, didn't confirm or deny rumors of the cancellation during the panel, but he did say he thought it would be a fitting end if the very last episode of the hit show were to be a tearjerker.

"I hope they write something emotional, because I know we're all gonna be crying anyway. So you might as well make it appropriate!" Galecki said, according to Us Weekly. "Capture that on camera, write that to be conducive to the fact that we're all gonna be blubbering messes that night."

Kunal Nayyar, who plays Rajesh Koothrappali, also shared his thoughts for the season ender, imagining the whole gang together.

"I think it would be great for all the guys and the girls just to be in the living room eating Chinese food," he told the magazine. "Wouldn't that be a loving last scene? Just talking nonsense in the end."

The season 11 finale of The Big Bang Theory is set to air on CBS on Thursday, May 10.
