Fans of the "Big Hero 6" will reportedly see a Dark Baymax in the sequel of the Disney-produced 3D animated film to be released in 2017.

Rumors are rampant that the superheroes who saved San Fransokyo from Professor Robert Callaghan aka Yokai will be featured in their "dark" version after the recent release of the new Bandai toy line. According to The Bit Bag, "Big Hero Stealth Team" shows all the characters in black costumes, leading to speculations of a "grim" movie sequel.

The gears of Baymax, Hiro, Go Go, Wasabi, Honey, and even Fred in the said merchandise were basically repainted. While this gave the characters a more streamlined appeal, fans could not help but feel that the new look was a forewarning of a darker, bleaker storyline to come.

Meanwhile, it has been previously reported that Hiro's brother Tadashi, who died in the explosion in the first movie, would be returning as "Sunfire." Tadashi is said to have transformed into a mutant capable of absorbing and releasing energy, which, given the way he died, makes a lot of sense.

In "Big Hero 6," Baymax kept telling Hiro that his brother was still alive. Hiro always thought it meant that Tadashi lives on his creation, Baymax. In the sequel, he would find out that was not the case. While it was not yet clear if the brothers would be on the same side of the fight, the online news outlet claims that the dark costumes may mean otherwise.

On a different note, Walt Disney Animation Studios producer Roy Conli has recently revealed that the Disney animated movie would be coming to "Kingdom of Hearts 3." Movie News Guide reports that the announcement came after the confirmation that "Tangled" would be part of Square Enix's role-playing game (RPG) series.

"It is an honor for me today to announce to the world that now 'Big Hero 6' will also be featured in 'Kingdom Hearts III.' The story will take place after the events of the film – after Hero and the gang have formed their heroic team," said Conli.

The future crossover has reportedly offered an exclusive spoiler that supports the rumored "dark" theme for the upcoming sequel. Entertainment Weekly reports that Sora's enemies will be creating a Dark Baymax using the body left behind in the portal at the end of the movie.
