2 April - according to a report from Gematsu, the ESRB website has leaked the existence of "Bioshock: The Collection." The game is said to be a collection of all three games: "Bioshock," "Bioshock 2" and "Bioshock: Infinite" including all the DLC content ever released for the games. The collection will release for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. 

This comes following numerous rumors about the game's existence. However, developer 2K has not confirmed or even addressed the news, stating the company does not respond to rumors. A report from Destructoid points out that a game receiving an ESRB rating is no longer just a rumor and the developers should make the announcement soon.

However, the ESRB website has since taken down the information, indicating that this was leaked prematurely and that the game should not have been listed at this time. It is likely that the game will appear on the ESRB website again once the game has been officially announced and released.

While it was still online, the ESRB description covered most of what made the game's rating so high - all three games are rated M for Mature. This is due to the use of explicit language, the consumption of alchol and addicting substances, blood and gore, sexual themes and violence. 

The games are known for their dark and gritty atmosphere, even in "Bioshock Infinite" which remarkably has a lighter aesthetic compared to the first two titles. All three of them tackle addiction to a substance that grants special powers like pyrokinesis and telepathy as well as the issue of man acting like a god-like figure in a totalitarian society.

"Bioshock: The Collection" will likely have updated graphics, smoother framerates and will be updated to allow online multiplayer matches on the newer generation of consoles. It is yet to be confirmed if any new feature will also be implemented with the re-release of the games.
