Icelandic music star Bjork's latest album release has hit the shops, and amazingly it contains twenty various remixes of her single "Army Of Me" - originally released in 1995. The album has been made with the aim to raise funds for the United Nation's Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Last year, ground-breaking songwriter invited fans to remix her hit song and immediately after posting up the request on her website, 600 re-worked versions, created by contributors from all around the world, were submitted.

The 39-year-old Bjork, astonished by so many remixes, listened to every single version before choosing her favorite 20 to create her new eclectic and diverse album recorded on label 'One Little Indian'. The album with hold a complete range of music from metal to folk and electro-clash.

"When I first listened, I didn't know whether they came from Bangladesh, Peru or Manhattan. All I could base my choice on was the music," expressed Bjork

"Remixes are interesting because they are a particular brand of collaboration. It was like I was the songwriter and all these people were the arrangers and interpreters. I like the anonymity of it," she added.
