"Black Desert Online" is giving players more ways to explore the Republic of Calpheon and the Kingdom of Valencia, as a new character class has been revealed for the massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG).

Developer Pearl Abyss/Daum has unveiled the new class called Lahn, who is pretty much a wuxia warrior, like those seen in films like "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," and with a matching skill and move set to boot. The Lahn, like all character classes, is gender-locked and will only be female, but it will come with a wide spectrum of customization options which are considerably more advanced than those seen in any other MMORPG. This customization is one of "Black Desert Online's" selling points.

The Lahn will also be fighting with a weapon called the Crescent Pendulum, which is a pendulum-shaped blade attached to the end of a chain. She was also showcased wearing a traditional eastern Cheongsam dress which can be changed to other armor sets in the game. Likewise, other characters will also be able to equip her armor.

A teaser trailer was also uploaded by the developers to YouTube, and it features the fighting prowess of the Lahn, where the class is shown to have a better inclination for crowd control. Also, the Lahn specializes in dispatching groups of enemies with ease using the wide-arc swings of her weapon.

The Lahn is set to be the sixteenth class, and the developers have also shown no signs of slowing down or stopping the development of new classes for the MMORPG. This means that in the coming months, players will be able to enjoy refreshing new takes on the game through new classes both in player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) modes.

This will also be true for Xbox One owners since the game is planned to be released on the console next year, along with support for Xbox One X. It is worth noting that the Lahn has only been announced for the Korean version of the game, where it is set to arrive by the end of December. The North American version of the game, on the other hand, will receive the new class early next year.
