Black Friday is nigh, and along with it, the shopping spree craze it to be expected soon, which is why two merchandise giants, Walmart and Amazon, are trading blows with each other in the form of discounts.

This guide will seek to give the buyers the best bang for their buck and help them decide which deals are better between the two. Both have their own respective discounts for devices. The main difference is that with Amazon, customers need not go out of the comfort of their homes during Thanksgiving, as shipping is included in every purchase.

Still, some might want to feel the Black Friday spirit by rushing to a store and grabbing as many discounted goods as possible. For people who prefer this, and those who need new phones, Walmart is offering a $300 Walmart gift card on Apple iPhone Qualifying Purchases. This promo applies to the iPhones 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, and X, and the devices are linked to AT&T and Verizon.

For those who prefer Android, Walmart also has an identical gift card for Samsung Device Qualifying Purchases, which include the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and Note 8. It is important to note that Amazon does not have offerings as good as these.

As for the television and movie buffs, Walmart, and possibly Best Buy as well, will be offering affordable high-quality high-definition televisions (HDTV). This year, a Sharp 55-inch Class 4K Smart TV for only $298 is quite a deal since 4K televisions are the craze these days. While this is not the best model Sharp has to offer, Amazon does not seem to have deals for televisions of the same quality.

Still, those who are not as agile or as willing to rush through a store can opt to purchase a cheaper but less powerful HDTV from Amazon. The television is expected to be roughly 32 to 40 inches in diagonal length. The most affordable one runs for $132. Unfortunately for those wanting a Samsung or Apple phone from Amazon, there does not seem to be a deal even close to the one from Walmart.
