Retailers and consumers alike are looking forward to the Black Friday shopping period, which will land on Nov. 29, 2013.

Some retailers such as Amazon and Walmart have already started their pre-Black Friday sales in the run-up to the big day.

On Amazon, 'Countdown to Black Friday Deals' are currently in place, with electronics, laptops, tablets and software being on sale with a 20 percent discount or more. Daily 'Lightning Deal's are also available – with deals changing every 24 hours.

Meanwhile, no-name tablets will be sold for as low as $49 in retailers such as Toys'R'Us and Walmart.

According to a leaked Toys'R'Us Black Friday ad, a 7-inch, 4GB Polaroid-branded Android tablet will be available for $49.99. Walmart will also be offering a 7-inch slate for $49.

Amazon is currently selling the Zeepad 7-inch 4GB tablet with A13 Boxchip for $64.98. The tablet is available in multiple colors including pink, blue, red, lime-green and yellow. It has Wifi, Skype video calling capabilities, dual camera and comes preinstalled with Android 4.0.

There are also reports that Target will offer $200 to trade in your first-generation iPad, which can then be used towards the purchase of any other tablet.

The iPad Air will be available for $20 less at Walmart, Target and Staples.
