Kendrick Lamar, the rapper who curated and produced the "Black Panther" soundtrack, still wants to be a part of its potential sequel but this time, in a more active role.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1, Lamar was asked if he wants to make a cameo in the second installment and it turns out he wants more than that. The "Humble" hitmaker is actually interested in playing a villain similar to Michael B. Jordan's critically acclaimed Erik Killmonger.

"Come on, I got to now!" he said. "I really enjoy Killmonger's character, just off the simple fact that he was a villain but he came with some real [talk]. ... He was a villain but he was loved and misunderstood. So if I could, I'd play a Killmonger for sure."

While Lamar does not have any acting credits yet, he has proven his affinity for filmmaking with the music videos he has released over the years. "Black Panther 2" could be very well his first. Regardless, he is proud to be a part of the record-breaking Marvel film. He calls his involvement a "privilege" and the film as "something that not only stands within its moment but stands within time."

Lamar's "Black Panther" album is currently at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for the second week, according to the music magazine. In the week ending Feb. 22, it earned 131,000 equivalent album units, down 15 percent from the 154,000 units when it debuted a week ago. The figure makes it the biggest second week for a soundtrack since 2015′s "Fifty Shades of Grey" soundtrack

With a total sum of nearly 300,000, Lamar's album has beaten Migos' Culture II and "The Greatest Showman" soundtrack which sits at the number 2 and 3 spot, respectively. The former earned 64,000 units this week while the latter has 61,000 units.

The "Black Panther" soundtrack is projected to do another big number in its third week, likely retaining its top spot for another seven days.
