While hype has been built up for its latest iteration the Priv, BlackBerry has not forgotten about another flagship in its smartphone lineup.  In a new ad, the Canada-based company comes out with none other than media personality Piers Morgan extolling the virtues of the BlackBerry Passport.

In the 60-second spot, Morgan tells the audience that one of the most noted features he liked about the Passport is its wide display, allowing him to even "craft a column." The journalist adds that he considers his Passport his mobile office, and that "the whole world is coming to me through my Passport."

According to GearBurn, the new ad was a good decision on BlackBerry's part, and Piers Morgan was the perfect choice. As a media personality, Morgan praised the new Passport's features and design as the one compatible with media-focused people like journalists and broadcasters. This dovetails with the Passport's main selling points.

The BlackBerry Passport has the signature QWERTY physical keyboard that is a staple of major BlackBerry flagships (even the newer Priv has one). It is also partnered with a 4.5-inch wide clear display with 1440 x 1440 resolution, making mobile writing and typing clear and distinct. In addition, the Passport also enjoys another BlackBerry signature feature – a robust device and data security.

Meanwhile, although the newer Priv has been enjoying accolades as the first Android-run BlackBerry device, it might not be long before fans may see an Android edition for the Passport. According to Gadgets360, a BlackBerry Passport Silver edition has been seen running on Android Lollipop, codenamed "Oslo." The original hands-on review is in Portuguese, and it is not clear if the device itself came out with the Google Android OS right out of the box or if it was a flashed device running custom ROM.
