The BlackBerry Priv has slowly but surely turned into one of the most anticipated releases of the year, and the good news is that people now have a specific date to look forward to.

The official release date for the BlackBerry Priv is Nov. 6, Digital Spy reported.

That's less than a month for now, and that's just enough time for people to learn more about the BlackBerry Priv and to decide whether it's a unit that's more style over substance or if it's simply a good gadget.

Fortunately, the official specs of BlackBerry's upcoming release have also been detailed, and they will help people determine if the new phone is right for them.

Starting with the BlackBerry Priv's processor, it will reportedly feature a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC that will then be paired up with 3 GB of RAM, NDTV reported.

It will also have 32 GB of internal storage readily available, although users will be glad to know that they have the option to expand that space all the way up to a whopping 2 TB by using a microSD card.

In terms of cameras, the BlackBerry Priv will have one up front providing two megapixels, while its rear camera will yield up to 18 megapixels.

The BlackBerry Priv will also have a 5.4-inch QHD display, providing users with ample space to work with.

Of course, the BlackBerry Priv is likely drawing all this attention, thanks to its concept of combining a fully functional touch screen together with a sliding keyboard that owners can also use.

It's also worth noting that the BlackBerry Priv will, of course, be the first ever Android Phone that the company has ever produced, leading many to wonder just how the system will work. The BlackBerry Priv will be featuring the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.
