The BlackBerry Priv is set to become more widely available now that T-Mobile will reportedly be offering it to customers.

The BlackBerry Priv will reportedly become available to T-Mobile customers beginning Jan. 26, so folks looking to get a new phone may want to save up for that date.

Both T-Mobile and BlackBerry have yet to confirm that the Priv will now be available via the telecom company.

If the rumors turn out to be true, then T-Mobile would be the second mobile carrier to make the BlackBerry Priv available to its customers, according to iDigital Times

The first U.S. mobile carrier to make the BlackBerry Priv available to its customers was AT&T, and the company began to offer the phone back in November.

BlackBerry is slowly but surely making the Priv more widely available to U.S. customers.

It has also been reported that Verizon will also be making the BlackBerry Priv available soon. No exact release date for when Verizon might begin offering the BlackBerry Priv was given, although the general timeline is expected to be sometime around the early part of 2016.

The Priv is the first Android-powered smartphone from BlackBerry. It also provides users with the option of either using the virtual keyboard that is present in numerous smartphones or the physical keyboard that can be revealed via a slider installed onto the phone, according to the Priv's official website.

The BlackBerry Priv has also been receiving regular security patches, with the latest one for this month already released, according to CrackBerry.

BlackBerry has yet to announce what the new security patch actually fixes so Priv owners will want to stay tuned to find out more details in the coming days.

Security patches for the Blackberry Priv usually arrive every month, and that's another thing to look forward to for people looking to get the new phone.
