More details are now coming about BlackBerry's newest slider model.

BlackBerry has already showcased this new slider phone earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015; but very few details were revealed about it at the time, which led to rumors coming about the device itself, according to the International Business Times.

This time around, even more details are coming about the BlackBerry phone that has been given the codename Venice.

According to the latest leaked details regarding the new BlackBerry phone, it will reportedly have an onscreen touch keyboard, which would be typical of the devices out on the market today; but there is something else about Venice that sets it apart.

If the reports are to be believed, there would be, apparently, another physical QWERTY-type keyboard onboard the Venice that will also be functional, and it can be found right beneath the touch keyboard, according to Crackberry. Since it is a slider phone, users will supposedly even be able to slide that physical keyboard in and out as they choose to do so.

Apart from the unique structure of the BlackBerry Venice, it also has some design elements that will likely be familiar to smartphone users.

According to Ubergizmo, the new phone will reportedly feature a dual-edge curved display that is not unlike what people will find on the Galaxy S6 Edge. The resemblance is supposedly not an accident either, as Samsung is said to be the main supplier for this type of phone display.

One more interesting tidbit about the BlackBerry Venice is that will reportedly drop the BlackBerry operating system (OS) and feature the Android OS like other smartphones.

As of now, that's all there is to know about the specs and features of the BlackBerry Venice, but more details are likely to come out soon with the new slider phone expected to be released by November.
