Blast and Parklife ROOTS launches 2 new youth and young adult programme ...

ROOTS is The Salvation Army’s largest annual conference in the UK and Republic of Ireland. It’s for anyone that’s passionate about the mission and role of The Salvation Army, within the calling of the broader Christian church. As a major Christian event, it’s also a wonderful introduction to the denomination and is open to all.

ROOTS caters for all ages, and each year runs a large programme for youth and young adults. This year, the ROOTS team are launching two completely new venues for youth. Blast (For 11-15s) and Park Life for young adults (attendees have to over 16).

The aim for the new venues is to enable young people to go deeper in their faith and as a community. The programmes are being designed to cater better for the needs of the multiple age groups within it, with seminars and teaching sessions tailored more specifically to the questions and issues people are experiencing at their stage of life.

Both programmes will be exploring questions of transformation through the 2006 ROOTS theme ’Metamorphosis’. What does it mean for the Church to be transformed and to transform the world in light of that pivotal moment in history?
