Popular fighting game series "BlazBlue" will be adding another game to their roster this 2018. Titled "BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle," the upcoming game is slated for a June 2018 release. Unlike its predecessors, "BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle" will focus on tag-team fights.

The new tag-team system has players compete in battle with groups of two. Each character comes with a different skillset and play style, meaning that players can mix and match to their hearts' content. The tag-team system also allows players to switch between characters in the heat of combat.

Some small changes have been made to some of the game's fighting mechanics too. Examples of this include the addition Cross Gauge which allows the second character to hop into the screen and assist the main character should they need help or get stuck in some sticky situation.

That aside, fans of the "BlazBlue" series are excited about the inclusion of brand new characters. Included in the roster of fighters are the characters from the hit roleplaying game "Persona 4" and the characters from the hit animated series RWBY. Yu, Yosuke, Chie, and Yukiko will be the characters representing the former while lead character Ruby and ice princess Weiss represent the latter.

Aside from the already announced fighters, it has been confirmed that many others would be joining the game through downloadable content (DLC) packs. While not all of the DLC fighters have been confirmed or introduced this early on, it has been announced that Blake Belladona from "RWBY" would be joining her fellow "RWBY" characters as a DLC fighter. According to Destructoid, there will be at least 20 DLC characters available in the upcoming "BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle."

While the game will not be making its western release until sometime in June. "BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle" will be coming to fans in Japan a little earlier. The Japan release is slated for May 31.

"BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle" will be released on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
