Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) will finally learn the truth after getting a message from her old self when "Blindspot" returns on NBC.

During the midseason finale, Jane was rescued by her ex-boyfriend Oscar (Francois Arnaud) after being kidnapped by CIA Deputy Director Tom Carter (Michael Gaston). Then he showed her a video of her old-self, telling her that she was the one who planned everything, including the tattoos and the wiping of her memory.

"I know that you're scared. The tattoos, the memory wipe... this was all your plan," the pre-amnesiac Jane told her current self.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Martin Gero revealed that everything changes for Jane after she learned about the video. Jane will finally learn the reason why she has no idea about herself and why she is covered with all those intricate drawings on her body.

But it does not mean that everyone will also find out the truth at the same time.

"The tension that she has obviously she doesn't tell the team first thing in the next episode. So it brings a whole new dynamic to the show that is really invigorating and fun," Gero said.

The showrunner also mentioned that Oscar will be a big part of the show once "Blindspot" returns for the second half of the season. He will not only set the game for Jane, but he will also start a complicated love triangle between himself, Jane and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton).

"She remembers being engaged to Oscar but still has incredibly strong feelings for Weller, so it's her old life encroaching on her new one," Gero revealed. "There's just a lot of great stuff in there."

Spoilers revealed that Agent Edgar Reade's (Rob Brown) love story will play an important role in the plot of "Blindspot" when it returns with episode 11 titled "Cease Forcing Enemy" on Feb. 29.
