The FBI will have to act fast in order to save a lot of people from an imminent danger in the next episode of "Blindspot."

According to the episode synopsis for "Bone May Rot," the team will have to race against time to hold a possible explosive situation at the Center for Disease Control that could greatly affect a lot of people.

The team, to be led by FBI Forensic Science Unit head Patterson (Ashley Johnson) and her puzzle-loving boyfriend David (guest star Joe Dinicol), will head over to the CDC after the couple discover a tattoo that predicts the possible event in Jane Doe's (Jaimie Alexander) life.

When the team manages to get inside the CDC, they realize that the tattoos on Jane's body offer clues about the next international terrorist act.

In an interview with Variety, series creator Martin Gero revealed several information about the show and Jane Doe's identity, which is later on revealed to have a connection with FBI's head of Critical Incident Response Group Special Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton).

It was revealed in the third episode that the tattooed Jane Doe is actually Weller's childhood neighbor Taylor Shaw, who went missing 25 years ago.

Gero stated that while Taylor's identity has been revealed, the mystery surrounding her disappearance 25 years ago and how she managed to return is still unknown. This means that the show still have a lot to offer in the coming episodes.

"The show, especially the first season of it, is really about Weller and Jane. Not only who did this to her and why, but also [for them to learn] how to be around each other. It's a pretty intense thing for her to have a sense of who she is and him to have found this girl whom he's been obsessed with finding for 25 years now. Emotionally, it teems up a lot of fun stuff for everyone," the series creator said.

"Blindspot" episode 4 airs on Monday, Oct. 12, on NBC.
