The first episode of "Blindspot" season 2 shocked audiences with the sudden revelation of Jane's (Jaime Alexander) true name and possible history as a child soldier and orphan. Episode 2 will see Jane, a.k.a. Alice, continue struggling with these revelations as the team faces a new threat: a DEA agent selling stinger missiles.

According to the synopsis (via Cartermatt), a corrupt DEA agent will be discovered selling stinger missiles to a drug cartel. However, while this may seem like a routine job for the core team, the real struggle will be from within as tensions continue to rise due to Jane's rift with the others.

The synopsis reveals that Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) will be doing everything he can to keep these tensions low and to keep the agents working as a team regardless of their individual relationship with Jane. Jane, however, will be most uncomfortable with Nas (Archie Punjabi) who has been promoted as the team's co-leader.

Given that Nas has been connected with the NSA, it is likely she is still harboring secrets regarding Jane and her past. Punjabi explained in an interview with USA Today that season 2 will also see Nas get into more action-oriented sequences instead of merely being someone on the side to deal with NSA and FBI office work and espionage.

"Nas works for the NSA and has been watching the Jane Doe case from afar for the past year. She's been brought in to heal some of the wounds that were left at the end of season 1. She is so measured and controlled that she has an unpredictable effect. She's witty. She's very protective of her team and will go to great extremes to protect it," Punjabi explained.

It is also important to note that "Blindspot" season 2 is moving back to its original time slot, airing right before "Law and Order: SVU" and "Chicago PD."

"Blindspot" season 2 episode 2 is scheduled to air on Sept. 21 on NBC.
