It's confirmed that Jane Doe, played by Jaimie Alexander, will join a mysterious organization in the second season of hit series "Blindspot."

Entertainment Weekly has interviewed Martin Gero, the show's executive producer, who stated that the tattoos all over Jane's body were put there by this mysterious organization. From the first season's finale, it was shown that she reached out to a former suspect to help with Oscar, a former suspect called Ana Montes (Aimee Carrero).

Moreover, her story will be explored more in the first two episodes of this series. This includes the reason as to why Jane has chosen to join this mysterious group, despite the fact that they were the ones behind her tattoos. With this, it's also confirmed that the series will take on different themes, and not all of them are about family and redemption, as stated by Gero in the same interview.

According to Design & Trend, it's possible that the first episode will feature a time jump of three months from the first season's finale. Also, the first season for "Blindspot" season 2 might feature a series of flashbacks from the time period where Jane was still training, preparing her for the things she might face in those intervening months.

Gero also confirmed that Oscar is definitely dead, according to Yibada. He explained that characters who die on-screen should be presumed dead. As such, he also pointed out that Sofia Varma's (Sarita Choudhury) death wasn't shown to the viewers. This is why Gero said that bringing back Bethany Mayfair and the Deputy Director of White House who faked her death wasn't cheating.

In any case, "Blind Spot" season 2 will premiere on Sept. 14. It's expected that the first episode will reveal the identity of Shepherd, the leader of the anarchist group. Additionally, Archie Punjabi will play a brand-new character on this show.
