"Bloodborne" players may have exhausted the horrors present in the Lovecraftian action roleplaying game (RPG) save one, as a new monster has been found nearly three years after the game launched.

Developed by FromSoftware and published by Sony back in 2015, the critically-acclaimed game has since left players wondering about a particular flaming sword-wielding monstrosity shown in the trailers from 2014. Until recently, this monster was nowhere to be found in-game. The discovery was made by YouTuber Moros Nyx, who finally found the said enemy, named "Flaming Undead Giant."

The monster was showcased as being part of the Chalice Dungeons in "Bloodborne," a game mechanic where mostly randomly-generated dungeons are introduced for the players to explore long after the main story of the game has been finished. The said dungeons are multi-layered and multi-faceted, which is perhaps why players could not find the monster, leaving many to assume that it was just cut content.

Nyx was able to find the said monster in the Chalice Dungeon by using the glyph with the code "pa6ssc6u." This also left a lot of fans wondering whether there are more undiscovered Chalice Dungeon monsters present in the game. That said, given how elusive the Flaming Undead Giant is, other unwitting players may have already encountered the monster without them recognizing it or its rarity.

Still, this does not explain why the player base was left wondering where the Flaming Undead Giant was the whole time, which led some of them to theorize that it could've been added later on via a belated update.

"Bloodborne" is a roguelike RPG from the creators of "Dark Souls" and is famed for its difficulty and its unique Lovecraftian horror atmosphere. In the game, players will get to step in the shoes of a hunter tasked with solving the mystery of the Victorian-era city of Yharnam and its demonic and monstrous guests from different dimensions.

"Bloodborne" is only available for the PlayStation 4.
